Valentine’s during Work & Travel

So it is that time of the year. Love is in the air and you are here in New Zealand looking for what do to eh?

Why stick with the usual (boring!!) Valentine’s Day traditions when you can really do something a little different here in the Land of the Long White Cloud!

How adventurous are you…..

How about a tandem Bungy with your loved one?? Being terrified together is surely one of the most amazing experiences you can have together right??

For pure romance, seek out a local glow worm cave and be entranced by the magical twinkly lights. Try not to think too much about exactly what a glow worm is and where the light comes from though, as it will kill the buzz pretty quickly!

Find a less populated beach somewhere along our 15000kms of coastline and snuggle up with a bottle of some fabulous New Zealand bubbles or Rose and watch the waves roll in – and the sunset. Throw in some delicious snacks and your Valentine will love you forever. Well for the night anyway!

Find somewhere that does a sunset or moonlight SUP paddle or kayak and head out onto the water. Obviously this is weather dependant but what a lovely way to just be together and enjoy some of New Zealand’s fabulous waterways. If you don’t fancy doing the hard work there will be a cruise you can take so you can just sit back and enjoy the scenery.

If you’d rather be inside then why not do some wine tasting or craft beer tasting together? Or catch a movie at one of our great little boutique theatres? Or look for an observatory and go look at the stars and planets with your significant other, and realise just how insignificant we really are down here on earth.

So much to do and so little time – luckily there are 364 more days in the year to do all these things too!
